A Place to Be Seen, Supported, and Celebrated.

By Cristine & Terrance – Co-Founders of RAE’S HOME

RAE’S HOME was born out of love, shaped by experience, and driven by purpose. The name RAE carries deep meaning—it represents the initials of three beloved family members who each faced significant health challenges and lived with developmental disabilities. Their journeys, and the lessons we learned while caring for them, are the foundation of everything we do today.

For Terrance, it was their quiet strength that lit a fire within. He witnessed the beauty of small victories, the frustration of navigating broken systems, and the life-changing power of showing up every day with patience and compassion. Those experiences didn’t just inspire him—they defined his calling.

For Cristine, her inspiration came not only from those family members but also from her best friend’s son, who experienced a brain bleed as an infant and lived with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His life became a testament to resilience and unconditional love. Helping care for him opened her eyes to the beauty—and the hardship—of supporting someone with unique needs. It also revealed the urgent need for homes that provide not only professional care but also genuine emotional connection.

Through his triumphs and struggles, Cristine saw firsthand the challenges families face: navigating complex systems, accessing services, and finding safe, nurturing environments where their loved ones are truly understood. It was then she knew—she wanted to be part of the solution.

At RAE’S HOME, our vision is simple yet profound: to create a space where every resident is seen, heard, and supported. Where care is more than a service—it’s a partnership. Where people don’t just live, but thrive. A place that feels like family because it was built from love.

Together, we are committed to making RAE’S HOME a beacon of quality care, authentic connection, and unwavering respect. Our mission is to close the very gaps we once had to navigate ourselves by creating an environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can grow, achieve, and truly belong.

This is not just our work. It is our life’s purpose—and the legacy of those who taught us what love in action really means.

At RAE’S HOME, we believe every individual deserves the chance to begin again, to be empowered, and to live fully. Because to “Restart and Empower” isn’t just our name—it’s the heart of our mission.
